Missing or wrong heating-circuit labels
If it is not documented which loop serves which room, the system cannot be set sensibly later.
Leaking joints on manifold or plant
Drips and lime marks show early — in closed cabinets or behind cladding they are missed for a long time.
Supply and extract valves not checked
Valves without assignment to supply or extract, forgotten rooms or leaky joints only show up in operation — as draughts or odours.

Plant room and heat pump as overview
Photograph the plant room as an overview, the nameplate of the plant and all visible connections.
Photograph open manifold with labels
Open the manifold cabinet and photograph heating circuits and valves close enough to read the labels.
Ventilation valves room by room
Photograph each valve and note the room name. Document missing covers or damage immediately.
Request balancing and commissioning documents
Request the protocol for hydraulic balancing (setting the water volumes) and for commissioning. Without these documents, the basis for adjustments is missing.
