Kinked, damaged or overlapping pipes and cables can only be repaired with great effort after the floor build-up.
Open pipe ends without caps
Missing caps allow construction debris into pipes, causing hard-to-reach blockages later.
Debris and damage between trades
Cable offcuts under pipes or holes in vapour barriers are happily poured over — later causing poor sound insulation, cracks and disputes.

Photograph open chases, floor services and pre-walls before they are covered. Ignore already finished areas.
Photograph every issue twice
Photograph the room first, then the spot with a folding rule for scale. Note the location and working area.
Secure open ends and interfaces
Check the tight fit of pipe caps and photograph any missing protective covers.
Report issues before covering
Inform site management in writing and request clarification before work continues.
